~ News / Rants ~

Okay, so I could not help but succumb to the idea of being able to tap out occasional rants. Quite often I will encounter an article on the NZHerald website that irks me, or any number of other things encountered online or in the real world may move me to remark in some way, be it "dude this is awesome you should check it out" blatant advertising or "OMG I totally cannot believe this guy" scathing rant. Obviously such things may be of little or no interest to anyone else but I figure that so many other people like to make their opinion known via blogs etc, there is little reason, if I have the time, not to use my own virtual voice on occasion. And if nothing else I may be able to make it entertaining in my own special way.

Obviously I could simply start a blog for this sort of thing but I would much rather have the (sometimes dubious) pleasure of putting it all together myself. Admittedly this means that there will likely be no way to allow comments, but that is not really the point of this. That is what Email is for at any rate, and I can always append any relevant feedback to the end of any given rant.

However before you start reaching for the metaphorical fountain pen to flick that scathing email because you were offended by something I have said, bear in mind that this is merely the oft-disjointed thoughts of an individual, and a non-influential one at that. Do not bother to take it seriously.

Okay so this is how it will likely go: my morning routine consists of checking email, twitter, facebook, forum, and (usually once I am at work) the news. Generally something in one or more of these places makes my mind whir, and stimulates either my enthusiasm or my blood pressure. I will then nominally have a silent thought or three on the subject in my mind, and that is as far as it goes. But I think I may start typing some of these up and putting them here.
